Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
What type of virus is COVID-19?

A.

•○ Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning that they are transferred to animals and humans. There were originally six types of coronaviruses known to be transmittable to humans.

•○ Among these six types, four types cause illnesses like the flu, and the other two are called MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV.

•○ Sequencing has confirmed that the causative virus of this outbreak – the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) – is an 89.1% match with SARS-like virus originating from bats

============================================

Q.
How is COVID-19 transmitted?

A.
  • ○ COVID-19 is transmitted through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The virus is transmitted by these droplets that are inhaled by other people or from people touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with hands with the virus on them.
    ○ In addition, since touching surfaces with droplets produced by infected people on them and then touching the eyes, nose, and mouth can transmit the virus, it is imperative that you wash your hands thoroughly.
  •  =========================================
Q.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

A.

  • ○ The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, fatigue, and dry cough. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some people become infected but don’t develop any symptoms and don't feel unwell.
  • ○ Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment, but older people, and those with underlying medical problems such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, which is why people with fever, cough and difficulty breathing should seek medical attention.

===============================================

Q.
Can COVID-19 be caught from a person who has no symptoms?

 A.
  • ○ The main way the disease spreads is through inhaling respiratory droplets expelled by someone who is coughing or contact. The risk of catching COVID-19 from someone with no symptoms at all is very low. However, many people with COVID-19 experience only mild symptoms, which is why it is possible to catch COVID-19 from someone who has little to no symptoms.
  • ○ WHO is assessing ongoing research on the period of transmission of COVID-19 and will share updated findings.

Dr. Sanjay Merotra at the prestigious University of the United States urged the Korean government to guarantee freedom of religion for the Church of Shincheonji and restore the HWPL Corporation.

 He appealed on the 28th of July, 2020, to stop discriminating against the Shinchon Church and HWPL, saying the virus is no excuse to violate the human rights of thousands of believers.

"The promotion of peace is for the improvement of religion," he said. "This evidence is the Hindu scriptures Bhagavad Gita, and everything was done to establish peace."

"I knew that HWPL was working hard to promote peace through dialogue with Chicago HWPL and participation in many programs," he said. "the Chairman Mr. Lee Man-hee and HWPL are doing amazing things for humanity."
"It is wrong to bully peace and religious groups with false accusations of spreading the virus to Korea," he said.

"This virus cannot be an excuse that violates the human rights of thousands of believers. Discrimination against religious groups and peace organizations should be ended," he stressed.

For this reason, Dr. Sanjay repeatedly asked the Korean government to take appropriate steps to continue the activities needed by the Church of Shinchonji and HWPL.

COVIID-19 : AIRBOURNE VIRUS

Eleven days later,
the cell phone store detected the Corona virus in the air conditioner.

<Risk of air propagation>

When using an air conditioner in an indoor space, it is often necessary to ventilate by opening windows.

The quarantine authorities are on alert after a series of corona 19 viruses were detected in air conditioners in corona 19 mass infection facilities in Gwangju. Concerns about air propagation are growing.

The Gwangju Metropolitan Government said on the 17th,

"The Gwangju Institute of Health and Environment examined environmental samples at mobile phone stores in Ochi-dong, Buk-gu, where many confirmed cases occurred, and found the corona 19 virus."

The quarantine authorities believe the virus may have moved to the system air conditioner on the ceiling through air circulation. The sample was taken at the air intake area of the air conditioner.

The quarantine authorities said that windows should be opened at least twice a day and air outside and circulatory ventilation must be done during cooling.

The virus has also been found in environmental samples at other facilities in Gwangju, where corona 19 was mass-produced.

The virus was also confirmed at the handle of the office on the 10th floor of the Geumyang officetel, where many of the confirmed patients had a meeting, and at the door handle of the Agapecilver Center, where the cohort was quarantined.

Environmental specimen analysis is an epidemiologic study taking into account the possibility of the occurrence of corona 19 transmission in a common space within a specific facility. Specimens are collected and analyzed in the environment of the facility where there is a possibility of transmission of viruses, such as air conditioners and door handles.

A city official said, “In multiple facilities that frequently use air conditioners, indoor air must be ventilated frequently, and masks and hand washing must be followed.”
